With over two decades of experience in political, issue advocacy, and commercial media, Cathie is a leading expert in the ever-evolving media landscape.

Before launching Buying Time in 1997, Cathie honed her skills at several top political media consulting firms, including Doak, Shrum, Harris, Sherman, and Donilon. She also served as a media director for both Fenn and King Communications and Squier Knapp Dunn (SKD). In these roles, she led the development and management of strategic paid media for a wide array of political and issue-based campaigns.

Cathie has played an active role in the day-to-day execution of paid media for multiple presidential campaigns—supporting both coordinated (hard side) and independent (soft side) efforts. Under her leadership, Buying Time has earned the trust of top-tier candidates and causes across the country, managing media for campaigns ranging from local municipal races to major statewide contests.

As the media industry has transformed, Buying Time has grown to meet new challenges and opportunities. Today, the firm manages paid media strategy and placement for government, retail, and corporate clients and has led branding and awareness campaigns for associations and companies at the regional, national, and international levels.

Cathie is a graduate of Kenyon College and resides in Annapolis, MD, with her family.
